There are several ways to take a screenshot on a Windows computer:

  1. Press the “Print Screen” (PrtScn) button on your keyboard. This will capture a screenshot of your entire screen and save it to the clipboard. You can then paste the screenshot into an image editor or document by pressing “Ctrl + V” on your keyboard.
  2. Press “Windows + PrtScn” on your keyboard. This will save a screenshot of your entire screen as a .png file in the “Screenshots” folder under “Pictures” in your “This PC” (Windows 10) or “My Pictures” (Windows 7).
  3. Use the “Snipping Tool”. This is a built-in utility in Windows that allows you to select a specific area of your screen to capture. To use it, search for “Snipping Tool” in the start menu and open it. Then, click the “New” button to select the area of your screen that you want to capture. The screenshot will be saved to your clipboard, which you can then paste into an image editor or document.
  4. Use the “Snip & Sketch” tool. This is a newer utility in Windows that allows you to take a screenshot, annotate it, and save it as an image file. To use it, press “Windows + Shift + S” on your keyboard. This will bring up a small toolbar with a cursor that you can use to select the area of your screen that you want to capture. The screenshot will be saved to your clipboard, which you can then paste into the “Snip & Sketch” tool to annotate and save as an image file.
